2021 KPMG Enterprise Tech Innovator Finalists

WPIC Marketing + Technologies, APAC’s leading e-commerce consultancy, is pleased to announce that it has been named a Western Canada finalist in KPMG’s 2021 Enterprise Tech Innovator competition.

The award recognizes innovative technology companies introducing breakthroughs that are transforming businesses and disrupting industries.

“On behalf of our entire global team, we thank KPMG for this recognition and commend all of the other fellow finalists across Canada,” said Joseph Cooke, Co-founder and President of WPIC Marketing + Technologies. “This accomplishment is a testament to the incredible work of our teams around the world who are continuously building innovative solutions to better serve our brand partners.”

The Enterprise Tech Innovator award recognized WPIC’s development of Discripto™ and Chinalytics®, big data tools that provide Western organizations with critical insight into the performance of their e-commerce stores as well as broader market trends, in English, in real-time.

The tools are particularly disruptive to the global big data market due to technical integrations into third-party marketplaces inside China’s Great Firewall, as well as fully customizable insights that are aggregated across e-commerce, search, social and web analytics sources. Developed by WPIC’s IT and big data divisions, the tools are currently in use by more than 65 clients from across industry sectors.

KPMG’s Enterprise Tech Innovator competition evaluates companies across six key metrics:

  • Innovation and disruption
  • Market potential
  • Customer adoption
  • Marketing/buzz
  • Long term potential
  • Pitch quality

WPIC has seen significant growth over the last two years, welcoming more than 250 new clients across e-commerce, IT, advisory, marketing and logistics solutions. The company has also opened multiple campuses during that time, including its first Japanese headquarters in Osaka, a 65,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Nanjing, and e-commerce hubs in Hangzhou and Nanjing.

In addition to this recognition from KPMG, WPIC has also been recognized as a Pacific Region finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year award and won the gold medal in the 2020 Canada China Business Council’s Business Excellence Award. WPIC has also received accolades from Alibaba, including the silver medal in its 2021 TP100 contest, which ranks Tmall Partners from around the world.
